Grande Cache RCMP respond to helicopter crash

Grande Cache RCMP remains on the scene of a helicopter crash.

At 9:49 a.m. Grande Cache RCMP received a report about a helicopter crash, and responded alongside the Grande Cache Fire Department, Hinton RCMP, and EMS.

Once they arrived and secured the area, crews located the lone occupant of the helicopter, the pilot, conscious and still breathing.

STARS then transferred the pilot to the hospital, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Mounties remain at the scene until the Transportation Safety Board of Canada arrive.
