Chateh RCMP ask for public help with two “connected” firearms complaints

Chateh RCMP are looking for anyone with information about two firearm complaints that took place a day apart, at the same property.

Originally, Chateh RCMP was dispatched to a residence in the community on August 27, after receiving a report about a disturbance, and later found an altercation had taken place outside the home, which resulted in a firearm being discharged.

The next day, August 28, Mounties received another report, indicating a group of suspects on ATVs fired multiple gunshots at the same house.

No injuries were reported from either shooting, and Mounties do believe these incidents were connected, as the same suspects were targeted.

RCMP’s Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit and General Investigation Section have been deployed to the community, to assist with the case.
