NWJHL Navigators recognize National Day for Truth & Reconciliation
The North Peace Navigators of the NWJHL will be recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 29, and Saturday, September 30, during both their games.
The Navigators will be sporting indigenous helmet decals portraying orange feathers, which will be given away for free at their home game on Saturday.
The Navigators said in a post on social media, these feathers are to commemorate and honor those affected by the painful and ongoing effects of residential schools.
These helmet decals were designed by local Peace Indegnouns artist, Dawson Briscoe at Peace Sign & Graphics.
