County and City of Grande Prairie commence Connector Trail project

Construction has started for the connector trail uniting the City and County of Grande Prairie.

The two-kilometre paved trail is being built collaboratively by the two municipalities to enhance connectivity and recreation.

It will run parallel to Range Road 61 past the Aquatera Landfill and will include a pedestrian crossing at the Highway 668 correction line.

The trail is planned to be open for users in the springtime, there will be no impact on Dunes and South Bear Creek trail users, with only minor traffic impact on Highway 668.
