Partial solar eclipse Saturday
A partial solar eclipse will be visible over the Peace Country Saturday morning (October 12) if the weather cooperates.
It should first be visible sometime after 9 a.m., according to the website timeanddate.com.
The Environment Canada forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday.
The Canadian Press reports that an “annular solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Earth and sun, and because it happens when the sun is at its farthest point from Earth, viewers are treated to a bright halo surrounding the black blot of the moon.”
