Oct 31, 2023 | 11:10 AM

Pipe installation across the entire construction route for the Coastal GasLink Pipeline is now done.

As os October 7, 2023, the 670 kilometer milestone was reached with the final weld.

The line starts at the Wilde Lake Compressor Station near Dawson Creek, B.C., and ends at their metering station in Kitimat, B.C.

Physical construction on the project has been completed and the last step before mechanical completion is on track for the company’s year-end target.

Coastal GasLink says they continue to work on reclamation and clean-up efforts along the route which must be completed before the onset of winter. The work includes erosion and sediment control measures to protect the environment and meet their commitments.

The construction of the pipeline supported over 27,500 full-time jobs created in B.C., with five years of construction.

The pipeline connects northeastern B.C. to LNG Canada’s facility on the west coast.
