Dawson Creek wraps up 2023 Capital Works season

The City of Dawson Creek is celebrating the end of a successful capital works season.

2023 saw the City install and energize multiple street lights along 14 Street, 95 Avenue, 96 Avenue, and at the Camarlo subdivision.

In addition, City workers completed the Area Water Main Extension project, and the sanitary sew replacement project on 106 Avenue.

2023 also included the start of construction for two new playgrounds at Kin Park and Old Rotary Lake with 90 per cent of the equipment installed, before work had to pause for the winter.

Plans are in place for construction to continue in the late spring.

All these projects were funded by the City of Dawson Creek’s Capital budget, alongside individual grants for each project.

City staff have already entered the budget and design process for 2024’s capital works projects.
