Peace River Freson Bros. awarded 2023 Progressive Grocer Impact Award

A local grocery store is being recognized for their charitable efforts over last year’s holiday season.

The Peace River Freson Bros. has been awarded the 2023 Progressive Grocer Impact Award in the category of Community Service/Social Impact for their work in December 2022 to support their local food banks.

Manager Brent Rostad says the team’s unwavering dedication earned them the award.

“This award is a testament to Freson Bros.’ commitment to supporting our local community. We look after each other, our friends, our families, our neighbours, and all of our communities. This is the foundation of who we are.”

Last December, the Peace River team launched a series of community programs and partnerships to support the food bank, including an innovative register campaign, partnering with Peace River Corrections and visiting their local senior homes to spread holiday cheer with gifts and Christmas cards.
