Bonanza School receives $50,000 from Saddle Hills County for new playground

Bonanza School will be getting a new playground thanks in part to funding from Saddle Hills County.

On November 28, Bonanza School Principal Theresa Simmonds asked for the county’s support in fundraising for a new playground. Council offered $50,000 for new equipment.

For the past two and a half years, Bonanza has been working to fundraise for the new playground, with family and community support helping to raise nearly half the total cost.

A construction date for the playground has not been set, but the school hopes it will take place during summer break.
