County of Grande Prairie starting up snow removal operations
The County of Grande Prairie’s snow removal crews are dedicated to keeping residents moving safely.
The crews have been called to put their over 30 specialized vehicles to use following yesterday’s snowfall. (Tuesday, December 19)
The County is informing residents the crew’s primary focus is on high-volume roads and school zones, followed by hamlets and residential subdivisions cleared within a 12-day cycle, and gravel roads within a five-day cycle once at least 15 cm of snow has accumulated, with those cycles to be impacted by multiple snowfalls and frigid weather.
County residents are asked to watch for digital no parking signs set up in specific hamlets and subdivisions where vehicles must be moved from roadways between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
