An Alberta government committee is asking Albertans for their input on the rules around salary disclosure.

The families and communities standing committee is reviewing the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act.

The act establishes guidelines for the public disclosure of the annual compensation of government employees and members and employees of public agencies and other public-sector bodies in Alberta

Employees that meet a determined salary threshold are included on a public list. In 2023, 22 employees made over the $125,888 threshold.
