ATCO supporting County of Grande Prairie’s new Fire Cadet program
The County of Grande Prairie is launching a new Fire Cadet program that it says will provide hands-on training and high school credits to local youth.
The program is sponsored by ATCO and is open to students who live in the County of Grande Prairie or the Towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Wembley to develop important life skills while gaining a better understanding of fire fighting as a career.
Shane Ellis, ATCO Vice President District Operations says partnering with the County reflects the company’s commitment to youth, citizenship, and community service.
The program is the latest to be supported by ATCO, which has been supporting Fire Cadet Programs in the province since 2002.
