Aquatera Skating Oval open to the public

The Aquatera Community Skating Oval is now open, on the CKC Campus, West of the Eastlink Centre, north of the Hansen Lincoln Field.

It’s built and coordinated by the volunteers and sponsors of the Peace Wapiti Speed Skating Club.

Speed skaters from Grande Prairie and Peace River are training on the oval to compete in upcoming Winter Games, including the Arctics, which will be held in Mat-Su, Alaska in March.

They invite the community to skate counterclockwise and, please leave your hockey sticks and pets at home.
