Some family doctors in Alberta are going on social media around the clock to talk about the pressures that are squeezing their practices.
The 24 physicians are sharing their stories on social media channels, including Facebook, on behalf of the Alberta Medical Association.
One physician will speak every hour for the 24-hour period.
The AMA says it wants to raise awareness that financial and workload pressures have caused more than half the family doctors in a survey to say they’re thinking about leaving the system.
