Alberta Justice says a Grande Prairie RCMP member has been found not guilty after being charged after a suspect was hit by a police vehicle.

Cst. Damien Lessard-Jomphe was found not guilty of a single charge of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm February 5 in Grande Prairie court.

A trial was held in early January.

Lessard-Jomphe was charged after an incident on April 24, 2021.

Police were called out after a report of two people on bicycles pulling a safe.
