Three new members for NWP board

Three new members have been named to the Northwestern Polytechnic Board of Governors.

Jason Forbes, Dennis Landis, and Ken Wittig were named through an Order in Council put forward by Minister of Advanced Education Rajan Sawhney that was approved on Friday.

All will serve three-year terms that will end on February 15, 2027.

NWP provided the following bios of the new board members in a news release:

Jason Forbes has been a practising lawyer for nearly 20 years. Along with being a Partner at KMSC Law, he is a regular contributor at legal education seminars for the public. Jason’s earlier board experience includes membership on the QEII Hospital Foundation and Home Builders Association boards. He also knows what it means to be part of the NWP Wolfpack, serving as an introductory business law instructor at NWP years ago.

Dennis M. Landis achieved career and business success as CEO and Chairman of one of Canada’s Best Managed CompaniesTM – Prairie Coast Equipment. As a dedicated community builder, he has established a mentorship program for next generation leaders and has been a member of various boards, graciously sharing his 30 plus years of business acumen.

Ken Wittig has an established track record in the region. With 25 years of experience working at Northstar Hydrovac, Ken understands local workforce dynamics and is attuned to industry. He is a strong advocate for regional success and gives back to the community through various board memberships and service.
