Members of St. Thomas More School Parent Council seeking transfer to HFCRD

Members of the St. Thomas More School Parent Council are seeking to have the Fairview school change divisions.

Holy Family Catholic Regional School Division Board of Trustees, met with Parent Council Chair Amber Moskalyk at their March meeting.

Moskalyk submitted a formal request for St. Thomas to move from the Grande Prairie and District Catholic School Division to HFCRD in the 2024/2025 school year.

She says having a Catholic education option for K – 12 students in Fairview is important to the parents of STM, the local Catholic parish, and the community.

The Board will explore the request further later.

This move comes after the Peace River School Division and Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools identified a temporary site for St. Thomas More, on the site of E.E. Oliver Elementary School in the town of Fairview.
