Fairview emergency department to be without a doctor for the first week of April

Alberta Health Services says the emergency department at the Fairview Health Complex will be without an on-site physician for the first week of April.

There will be no doctor available from 7:00 AM April 1 until 7:00 Am on April 8.

AHS says anyone with a medical emergency can still call 911.

Nursing staff will be on site to provide assessments, triage and referrals. Health Link also remains available by calling 811.

AHS says the disruption could be cancelled if coverage is found.
