Street sweeping underway in the City

The City of Grande Prairie has started seasonal street sweeping on main roads and City trails

The City expects the main road sweeping to be completed by the start of May, before moving on to secondary roads and residential areas, in hopes of being completely finished by the end of May or early June.

Street sweepers will be out 24 hours a day, seven days a week until the job is finished, with the City asking drivers to slow down to 5 to 10 km/h when passing.

Transportation Director Wade Nellis says he appreciates “the patience and understanding of residents, as we conduct our seasonal street sweeping operations.”

After sweeping is completed, All debris collected will then be discarded at the Aquatera Landfill.
