Driver Caution

Provincial highway cleanup this Saturday

On Saturday, May 4, volunteer groups will be on the roadsides across Alberta cleaning trash along provincial highways.

The volunteers will be wearing bright orange safety vests so commuters can see them.

Drivers on highways are asked to please slow down, obey signage, watch for pedestrians, and use caution when passing cleanup crews.

Groups from 4-H, Scouts, Girl Guides, schools, church organizations, Rotary Club, sports teams, and other non-profit organizations will be participating in the province-wide cleanup.

In the event of poor weather or wildfires in certain areas, the cleanup will be moved to May 11 or later in the month.
