Cancer support group’s Alberta tour stops in Grande Prairie Thursday

A charity that offers supports to people diagnosed with cancer and their families will be in Grande Prairie on Thursday, May 9, as part of a province -wide tour.

Wellspring Alberta offers what it calls in a news release “robust mental health, wellness and community supports.”

The group says its outreach manager Rebecca Perkins will be touring the Grande Prairie Cancer Centre with staff, plus meet with local organizations like the Primary Care Network and Community Support Services.

Wellspring says in an email the idea is to share information and figure out ways to work together.

Perkins will also meet with local MLA’s to tell them how Wellspring can help local people.
