Parts of the MD of Greenview under evacuation

An evacuation order was issued last night for the MD of Greenview, due to the wildfires.

This order is in effect for anyone residing in the North Goodwin area, west of Range Road 21, between Township Road 734 and Township Road 741.

A wildfire burning north of Highway 43, west of Range Road 21 jumped the Smokey River, leading to this evacuation order.

All evacuees are asked to head to the Paradise Inn on Highway Street in Valleyview, and bring all important documents, foods, medication and pets to be away from your home for three days.
