Evacuation order for Doig River First Nation, part of PRRD

Part of the Peace River Regional District in the BC Peace, and the Doig River First Nation, are under evacuation order because of a wildfire.

The part of the regional district that is under this order is described as follows:

• Km 5.75 on Doig Road
• North to Road PDR MC9
• East for 6.75 Km
• South to Doig Road
• West to Km 5.75 on Doig Road

A fire that started on Sunday has burned close to 600 hectares.

Evacuees have been asked to register with Emergency Support Services at the North Peace Arena in Fort St. John.
