Grande Prairie Public Library pilot to expand Sunday hours

The Grande Prairie Public Library will be piloting expanded hours of operation on Sundays.

Starting this weekend, the library will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, earlier than the usual opening time of 1:00 p.m.

GPPL staff say there has been public demand for an earlier opening on Sundays and that they have previously seen lines gather outside in anticipation.

City Councillor and Library Board member Wade Pilat says the additional hours allow more access to a community hub.
