Grande Prairie Enforcement Services addressing noisy vehicles
Grande Prairie Enforcement Services is “increasing education and enforcement initiatives” to address noisy vehicle complaints in the City.
According to Enforcement Services, Peace Officers have received training on modified exhaust and vehicle-related noise issues and will be doing vehicle checks throughout the month.
This is part of a new initiative from Enforcement Services, as each spring they; “receive an increase in the (number) of noise complaints stemming from vehicles with inadequate mufflers and vehicle equipment, as well as driving behaviours such as stunting and overaccelerating.
Peace Officers will be enforcing Bylaw C-1103C, which would see offenders face fines of $162 or a mandatory court appearance.
