Calgary Stampede title for Grimshaw cowboy

A Grimshaw cowboy has won a title at the Calgary Stampede.

Denver Leitch took the novice bareback crown after being the only contestant to record three qualified rides in all three rounds.

The competition was held over the first three days of Stampede.

Leitch’s highest score was a 75.5. recorded in the third and final round on Sunday.

He also had 68.5 and 72.5-point rides.
