City temporarily closing 100 Avenue and 100 Street for International Street Performers Festival

The City of Grande Prairie will be temporarily closing roads in the downtown area to accommodate the International Street Performers Festival.

Starting Friday, 100 Avenue between 99 Street and 101 Street will be closed. Westbound traffic can detour via 101 Avenue or 97 Avenue.

100 Street will also be closed between 99 Avenue and 101 Avenue. Northbound traffic will detour east on 99 Avenue, while southbound traffic will be redirected east or west on 101 Avenue.

The city says traffic management signs and detour guidance will be prominently displayed to help drivers safely navigate the area.

Transit routes 3,4, and 8 will also be impacted with Stops 302, 402, and 802 closed from 6:00 AM Friday until 7:00 PM Sunday, and temporary boarding points will be available at Town Center Mall.
