Jul 26, 2024 | 5:12 PM

The Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership says there are now 177 evacuees from Jasper registered in Grande Prairie.

The reception centre is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bonnetts Energy Centre.

GPREP says there is mental health counseling from Alberta Health Services and supports from Service Canada available every day at the Holiday Inn & Suites, located at 9816 107 Street, from 11:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

GPREP is also reminding people that physical donations are not being taken. Anyone who wants to make a donation like this is asked to send an email to emergencysupportoffers@gov.ab.ca.

People can donate money through the Northwestern Alberta Foundation.

There is also now free admission available at the Dave Barr Community Centre and Design Works Centre, along with the Eastlink Centre, Aquatera Outdoor Pool and the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum.
