Grande Prairie RONA raising funds for Odyssey House in second annual Home Sweet Home campaign

RONA is holding it’s second annual Home Sweet Home campaign to raise funds to revitalize living conditions and make access to housing easier.

Throughout September, Grande Prairie’s RONA will be raising money for Odyssey House.

Service Desk Supervisor Ashley Vanderburgh says they hope to raise $5,000.

“It’s just something that we had some luck with last year, and (Odyssey House was) very appreciative and just wanting to give back to people who need the money,” Vanderburgh says. “You can make donations at the cash register or at the back services desk.”

Vanderburgh says while the campaign is country wide, each branch will focus on a local organization like Odyssey House, and all funds stay local.

“I find a lot of people are a lot more willing to give back to their community,” she says. “It’s a really good cause and if you’re able to donate, even a little bit goes a long way.”
