"Schools in, Slow your spin"

City of Grande Prairie emphasizing school zone safety

The City of Grande Prairie reminds motorists that “schools in, slow your spin.”

They now join Enforcement Services and the Alberta Government in sending a school zone reminder, as now until June, every school day, drivers are expected to limit their speeds to 30 km/h in these zones.

The City says residents may have noticed peace and police officers out helping keep chidlren safe.

Enforcement Services will be monitoring all school zones all September, with a focus on vehicles illegally parked or stopped in school zones.

In the release, the City asked residents to “continue keeping roads safe for our students.”
