Peace River Regional District to begin accepting oil and antifreeze containers in landfills

The Peace River Regional District is offering a new recycling service for used oil and antifreeze materials.
Starting September 30, the Chetwynd Landfill and Hudson’s Hope Transfer Station will begin accepting used oil, antifreeze and associated containers.
The new service is the product of a partnership between PRRD and Interchange Recycling to recover more materials, extend the life of a non-renewable natural resource, and decrease pollution caused by improper disposal.
