Grouard man buys a winning lottery ticket on vacation

A Grouard local returned from his trip to Manitoba with heavier pockets than when he left, thanks to a lottery win.
Herman Sutherland was on vacation and picked up a $7 Lucky Lines EXTRAVAGANZA ticket from a Rexall in Selkirk. “I bought my ticket and scratched it in-store,” to reveal he had won $200,000.
Sutherland said, “I very rarely get excited, I was very calm, but the cashier at the store started jumping around excitedly!”
Sutherland’s one main plan for the money is to share it with his family; “I have 22 grandkids, I’m going to share with them,” and purchase a new vehicle for his wife.
