St. Joes teacher named ASBA Zone 1 Edwin Parr Award Recipient

The Grande Prairie and District Catholic School Division is congratulating one of its new teachers for receiving a highly esteemed award.

St. Joseph High School teacher Emily Elsenheimer has been named the Alberta School Board Association’s Zone 1 Edwin Parr Award Recipient.

Miss. Elsenheimer was born and raised in Grande Prairie and attended Holy Cross Catholic School and St. Joe’s for her primary education growing up.

She received her Bachelor of Education through Northwestern Polytechnic’s and the University of Alberta’s Teacher Education North program and was NWP’s Class of 2023 Salutatorian.

She received the award at the ABSA Zone 1 ceremony on September 18. She will now represent the zone as one of six teachers in the province to attend the provincial ASBA award ceremony in Edmonton this November.
