Fairview Health Complex ED experiencing “temporary disruption”

The Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department will be experiencing a temporary disruption this weekend.

From 7 a.m. on Friday, September 20, until 7 am on Saturday, September 21, the ED will be without an onsite physician.

However, nursing staff will remain on site to perform urgent triage and assessments, while EMS will re-route calls to neighbouring facilities.

AHS says the disruption could be cancelled if coverage is found.
