More than two-thirds of harvest completed in the Peace by September 24 says new crop report from AFSC
The September 24 crop report from AFSC says that just over 67 per cent of the Peace Region crop had been harvested as of that date.
The September 17 report said that harvest in the Peace was just over 50 per cent done.
The five-year average completion percentage for September 24 is 43.8 while the 10-year average is 41.7 per cent.
The completion percentage by crop is just under 99 per cent for dry peas, just over 80 per cent for spring wheat, 74.5 per cent for barley, 65.6 per cent for oats and 50.5 per cent for canola.
