Youth Advisory Council deadline on October 15
Grande Prairie youth between the ages of 14-24 looking to positively influence the future of our city have to opportunity to be on the City’s Youth Advisory Council, but only if they apply!
Also known as “YAC”, the group offers a platform for younger people to have their voices heard and engage with city council, local organizations, agencies, and more.
The council meet regularly to discuss current issues in our area and gives high school students, college students, and young professionals the space to collaborate, learn, and influence change in the city.
Recent examples of YAC contributions are; feedback on cell phone tower placement, supporting the continuation of the youth transit pass program, and expanding YAC membership.
