Peace region harvest three-quarters finished

The October 1 crop report from AFSC says 75.4 per cent of the crop in the Peace had been harvested by that date.

That is up from the 67.1 per cent completion reported the week before, even though a lot of places in the Peace had rain during that week.

The five-year average for October 1 is 58.7 per cent and the 10-year average is 55 per cent.

All of the dry peas have been combined, as has 85.7 per cent of the spring wheat, 82.5 per cent of the barley, 74.5 per cent of the oats and 62.1 per cent of the canola.
