Members of the Storm collect AJHL weekly honours

Two Grande Prairie Storm players were highlighted in the latest batch of AJHL weekly awards.

Storm forward Tomas Markinkovic was selected as the AJHL Player of the Week, after putting up a natural hat trick against the Devon Xtreme, and added to that already impressive performance with a goal and two assists during their back-to-back with the Calgary Canucks.

Chayse Laurie was awarded the Rookie of the Week, as he had four points over the Storm’s three-game slate against the Xtreme and Canucks; including a game-tying goal against Calgary which led to a Storm victory.

At this time, Marinkovic is tied for seventh in points in the AJHL with 12, while Laurie is tied for fourth in rookie points with ten.
