Oct 16, 2024 | 1:30 PM

The October 8 crop report from Alberta Agriculture says 84.3 per cent of the crop in the Peace had been harvested as of that date.

The five year average for the same date is 78.6 per cent. The 10-year average is 73.3 per cent.

All the dry peas, more than 92 per cent of the spring wheat, over 88 per cent of the barley, 83 per cent of the oats, and just over 75 per cent of the canola had been combined.

The report says during the week it was compiled, parts of the Peace had up to 25 millimetres of rain along with hail and frost in some places.
