Holy Family Catholic Regional Division Superintendent Betty Turpin has announced her retirement.

Effective August 2025, Turpin will have closed the book on 18 years of dedicated services.

During her tenure, Turpin led HFCRD through several milestones, including the building of the Grimshaw Shared School Facility, the growth of mental health services in education and the transfer of St. Thomas More to the division.

HFCRD Board Chair Kelley Whalen says Turpin has been a guiding force in Catholic Education and inspired both students and staff.

Turpin says she wants to express her heartfelt gratitude to everyone she’s worked with at HFCRD.

“Over the years, I’ve been privileged to lead such a dedicated group of educators, students, and families,” Turpin says. “Together, we’ve built a strong foundation for future success, and while I’m stepping away from my role, the work we’ve done will continue to inspire and shape the area for years to come.”

The board will begin the search for Turpin’s successor as Superintendent in the coming months.
