Temporary St. Thomas More School holds grand opening Dc. 2

St. Thomas More School held its grand opening Monday, December 2 for its new temporary portable school.

The original school closed in 2023 due to complications with an asbestos abatement project, with students spending the 2023-2024 school year at Northwestern Polytechnics’ Fairview Campus.

STM Board Chair Kelly Whalen says the portable space is a symbol of the school’s commitment to providing the best possible environment for students, staff, and the community.

Additionally, MODUS Structure announced at the ceremony a $50,000 donation to build a playground for the school.

STM Secretary-Treasure Zachary Silva says the funds will help provide the students with a safer and more exciting space to play and grow.
