City confirms continued use of photo radar on municipal roads

City Hall in Grande Prairie is responding to the provincial government’s plan to reel back photo radar systems.
While the province will be removing the systems from provincial roads, the city will be keeping the systems in places for school zones, playgrounds, and construction sites.
The province says other areas with high collision rates can also use photo radar, if the local government can provide evidence of the system’s need.
