Return of the Grande North Winter Fest

Jan 2, 2025 | 7:25 AM

The Grande North Winter Fest will once again take over Grande Prairie City Centre next week.

Mayor Jackie Clayton invites all to “embrace one of the coldest months of the year,” with several family-fun activities planned at three different hubs; Muskoseepi Park, the Montrose Cultural Centre, and Bonnett’s Energy Centre.

Bonnett’s will also once again be home to one of the favourite attractions during Winter Fest, ice carving.

Most activities will be free to partake in during the event, however, residents may need to buy tickets to use some amenities at the Bonnett’s Energy Centre, which can be purchased by visiting their online box office.

Several other free outdoor activities will be planned for the festival; horse and wagon rides, a snow maze, an ice slide, and skating at either Muskoseepi Park or Montrose.
