Camp Tamarack to receive $50k grant

Camp Tamarack has been named a recipient of a $50,000 grant.

The Champion Grant for Rogers Birdies for Kids, presented by Alta Link, will be used to upgrade the camp’s kitchen and purchase a yurt to serve as a multi-purpose space for programming and additional beds.

Right now, the kitchen can serve 60 campers, but there are only 56 beds for youth and 18 for seasonal staff.

Camp Tamarack is a wheelchair-accessible experience centre dedicated to serving children with and without disabilities.
