Faust RCMP stunting traffic stop leads to drug seizure

Faust RCMP have seized a large amount of drugs and cash, after conducting a traffic stop in High Prairie on Monday, January 20.

Faust Mounties, with help from the Lakeshore Regional Police, and High Prairie RCMP saw a vehicle stunting in the area of 46 Street and pulled them over.

During the traffic stop, Mounties seized $13,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia and 2.2 kilograms of suspected cocaine, leading them to arrest both the driver and passenger.

Nine-teen-year-old, High Prairie resident Zylo Sebastian Badger had two charges laid against him:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

Badger was remanded into custody and was scheduled to be in court on Wednesday, January 22.

An Edmonton Resident, 20-year-old Navdeep Dhiman had three charges laid against him:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon

Dhiman was released with a court date set for Monday, February 3.

Mounties say they “aim to protect our communities on a daily basis, and our community members have been loud and clear that they do not want drugs in the area.”
