Alberta sending delegation to U.S. National Prayer Breakfast

The Government of Alberta is sending a delegation of three ministers to represent the province at the United States’ National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.

The National Prayer Breakfast has been running for more than 70 years and is a non-partisan event with attendance from politicians of all stripes.

In addition to the formal breakfast event, meetings will be held between Alberta’s delegation and U.S. leaders in an effort to strengthen ties between the province and our southern neighbour.

The delegation includes:

  • Nathan Neudorf, minister of affordability and utilities
  • Adriana LaGrange, minister of health
  • Dan Williams, minister of mental health and addiction

Three Government of Alberta staff members will also attend. Expenses will be posted online.

Itinerary for Minister Neudorf:

  • Feb. 4: Travel to the U.S.
  • Feb. 5: Attend National Prayer Breakfast events, meet with members of U.S. Congress.
  • Feb. 6: Attend National Prayer Breakfast events, meet with members of U.S. Congress.
  • Feb. 7: Meet with energy and electricity leaders.
  • Feb. 8: Return to Alberta.

Itinerary for Minister LaGrange:

  • Jan. 31: Travel to the U.S.
  • Feb. 1-2: Personal time at own expense.
  • Feb. 4: Tour the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Georgetown University and visit the Milken Institute.
  • Feb. 5: Attend National Prayer Breakfast events, meet with members of U.S. Congress, and visit the MITRE Corporation.
  • Feb. 6: Attend National Prayer Breakfast events, meet with members of U.S. Congress.
  • Feb. 7: Return to Alberta.

Itinerary for Minister Williams:

  • Feb. 5: Travel to the U.S., attend National Prayer Breakfast events, meet with members of U.S. Congress.
  • Feb. 6: Attend National Prayer Breakfast events, meet with members of U.S. Congress.
  • Feb. 7: Return to Alberta.
