Post-season awards for volleyball players

A member of the Wolves men’s volleyball team has earned a post-season award.

Cooper Paulovich is the 2025 ACAC Men’s Volleyball North Rookie of the Year.

The Alberta College’s Athletic Conference says on its website that Paulovich was top 25 in kills and top 10 in aces this season.

He is originally from Manning and plays the outside hitter position.

“Cooper has had an outstanding rookie season. As a first-year player, he was thrust into a challenging role, filling the P1 position for the Wolves. Despite the pressure, he led the team in aces and finished second in kills. His growth has been remarkable, especially considering this was his first time playing outside and taking on passing responsibilities. He is a special athlete with a bright future ahead,” says head coach Lindsey Habib on that same website.

Paulovich will be given his award this weekend in Vermilion at the ACAC Men’s Volleyball Championship.

A member of the Wolves women’s team has been named to the North All-Conference Team.

Helaina Zeyha was one of the four outside hitters on the all-star squad.

Zeyha is from Grande Prairie and is in her third year at NWP.
