Feb 21, 2025 | 12:19 PM
Mounties in Fort St. John say that swastikas and a “derogatory message” was sprayed painted on the side of a cultural organization’s building on Sunday.
It was sprayed on the Treaty 8 Tribal Association’s building and police are investigating this as a hate crime.
The graffiti has since been painted over but RCMP are in the process of obtaining video surveillance from surround businesses to try and identify any potential suspects.
Fort St. John’s RCMP detachment is asking anyone that may have information on this matter to contact them directly at 250-787-8100. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca.
