City cleaning up after hydrocarbon spill in Muskoseepi Park

City Hall is asking people not to use the path that goes from the spillway to the skateboard park in Muskoseepi Park after what it calls “a hydrocarbon spill.”

A social media post from the city did not provide any details on what was spilled, only that it was under control, and that the source had been addressed.

A Hydrovac truck will be there Saturday morning to get rid of what the city calls “any residual material.”

The city adds cleanup should be finished by noon on Saturday, and that any disruptions for users of the park will be minimal.
