Mar 4, 2025 | 1:06 PM

A Grande Prairie local has been named as the top goalie of the week in the KIJHL as he’s started playoffs with a .969 save percentage.

Stretching from February 24 to March 2, Connor Stojan secured two playoff wins for his Beaver Valley Nitehawks, while stopping 62 of 64 shots he faced.

In his first game against the Nelson Leafs, it was a shutout performance from Stojan as he faced 26 shots, which was followed up by a 36-save effort leading to a 3-2 win for the Nitehawks over the Leafs.

Since being chosen for the award Stojan has tacked on one more playoff win, as his Nitehawks had a 5-1 win over Nelson on Monday, March 3, and will look to complete the sweep tonight. (Tuesday, March 4)
